Partner with BLG's commercial litigation group. Focus is on litigation, including appellate work, and regulatory matters, with an emphasis on the energy industry, including oil, gas and electricity. Advising in connection with oil and gas/energy operations, environmental contamination, contractual disputes, mineral ownership and title disputes and regulatory matters. Acts for a number of electricity clients in regulated and unregulated matters. Advises clients in Alberta, the Northwest Territories and Nunavut. Regularly appears before the Alberta Court of King's Bench, the Alberta Court of Appeal, and tribunals including the Alberta Energy Regulator, Alberta Utilities Commission, and the NWT Public Utilities Board
