About Kashif Sadiq

I am a biophysics researcher and entrepreneur. My research interests are in combining theoretical and computational physics methods with artificial intelligence to understand high-dimensional chemical and biological processes that span several spatiotemporal scales. I am also passionate to build on this research to develop practical applications in personalised medicine, drug discovery, clinical decision support and synthetic virology/nanotechnology. I bring extensive experience in computational biophysics/biochemistry and high-performance computing (HPC) in all-atom molecular dynamics (MD) simulations, coarse-grained MD simulations, chemical reaction kinetics, reaction diffusion approaches and machine/deep learning methods. Experience includes GPCR, HIV protein and RNA modelling, autocatalysis, conformational kinetics, macromolecular structure prediction, virus morphology, rational drug design, self-assembly of soft condensed bio-matter, binding free energy and kinetics methods, advanced sampling techniques in MD, prediction of resistance mutations, personalised medicine from genotypic assays and de novo protein design.
