The Risk CoE team purpose is to make Telstra better at managing their risk and is responsible for implementing, maintaining and championing the Enterprise Risk Management and Business Resilience Framework. The role started with a focus on cybersecurity but expanded to cross-company resilience, where cyber was one of the five pillars of end to end resilience, including Business, Supplier, Network and IT Resilience. The role was part of Telstra’s 2LOD (Enterprise Risk) and was responsible for providing executives and Board with the assurance that the cybersecurity team in Telstra, is able to manage cyber security risks against the enterprise risk management framework, appetite set by the Board, and are able to ensure privacy and security of our customers, and Telstra. To achieve this goal, and to help deliver objective outcomes, I designed, socialised and then implemented, a maturity and effectiveness model across Telstra.

As Telstra's Operations Lead for Module B, USO STS, i was responsible for working with wider Operations and contract management team to ensure Telstra's operational obligations under Module B are met, reported, assessed, and where required through innovation and change, performance is improved. Telstra Universal Service Obligation Performance Agreement (TUSOPA) between the Australian Government and Telstra is one of a series of separate, yet interrelated, agreements signed by the Government, Telstra and nbn to enable the construction and operation of NBN infrastructure. The Agreement sets out contractual arrangements (including payment) for Telstra’s delivery of the universal service obligation and some other public interest telecommunications services.Module B - Universal Service Obligation—Standard Telephone Service (STS)Telstra has a contractual obligation to supply the STS so that voice services are reasonably accessible to all people in Australia on an equitable basis. This includes an offer to a customer to purchase or hire a handset. Telstra receives funding to operate and maintain its existing copper network to provide the STS in areas where the NBN fibre fixed line network will not be deployed.

I was the lead for network and system administration team, and led the development of backend credit card network for UBL with consultancy partners. I joined as a trainee network and system administration, focusing on DSL broadband network. Habib Rafeeq was one of the pioneers in bringing DSL network to Pakistan, and I was deployed at Karachi data centre.
