As a graduate student at the Weng Lab, Terry Fox Laboratories, BC Cancer, I apply my biotechnology skills and knowledge to conduct cutting-edge research on cancer genomics and epigenomics. I use advanced techniques such as Multiomic Single-Cell Sequencing and Spectral Flow Cytometric analysis to investigate the molecular mechanisms of cancer initiation and progression, and to identify novel biomarkers and therapeutic targets.My passion for biotechnology stems from my undergraduate studies at UBC, where I graduated with a BSc Honours in Biotechnology, and my diploma studies at BCIT, where I earned an Honors in Biotechnology. I also gained valuable experience as a research assistant at BC Cancer Foundation and UBC Department of Microbiology and Immunology, where I contributed to projects on cancer immunotherapy and bacterial pathogenesis, respectively. I enjoy learning new skills and technologies, and collaborating with other researchers and professionals in the field. My hobbies include playing musical instruments and developing high efficiency computational systems.
