Worked directly with the Chief Risk Officer for the entire group that has over $7 billion in GMV. Conducted research on managers and investment strategies to identify patterns and analyze which strategies have historically outperformed the others. Used actual vs theoretical performance based on a hypothetical trading strategy using data from actual stock prices dating back to 2008. Worked directly with a trader to help him identify his trading style and improve his trading strategy. Based on the theoretical performance, actual Gross Revenue lagged theoretical Gross Revenue by over 5%-10% (based on an average $200 million GMV). Prepared slides on the risk exposure and the Barra Factor Risk analysis for the weekly risk committee meetings to discuss the different managers and groups within the firm. Worked on a portfolio optimization project using R programming and data on real traders' returns and volatility - The goal was to determine the ideal mix of the different managers at the firm. Used a non-linear optimizer with constraints in place to make the model more accurate. Output of the model was used to determine the highest return with the lowest risk, thus maximizing the overall firm Sharpe ratio. Built a new model to analyze a potential $5 million investment opportunity in an external fund. Model took into account historical returns of the fund to its investors, potential for growth and other costs/ constraints. Based on the model, presented a report to the President, Chief Investment Officer and Chief Risk Officer on the attractiveness and viability of the investment opportunity.Worked on both the business aspect and risk aspect of the firm.

In charge of conducting the Proof of Concept (PoC) Study for the Mumbai region. PoC was carried out in 4 locations across the country and was intended to understand the ground reality about the Aadhaar Scheme. A sample of 10,000 residents was selected and re-tested to test network connectivity, fingerprint device compatibility and performance, and to check efficiency and accuracy of the bio-metric data collected.Also completed a resident satisfaction survey at various locations across Mumbai.
