I manage the relationships necessary to the growth and success of the organization and agency, including donor relations and sustainable fund-raising, as well as all grant opportunities. I have raised over $100,000 in donations for the foundation within the 2 ½ years I have been here. My job requires many elements of marketing, but with more of an emphasis on building personal connections over the long term. I supervise all agency events and oversee the volunteer program. I coordinate all agency activities and head monthly educational events, as well as an annual fundraiser in Osceola, IA and in Chariton, IA. I train all new employees about sustainable fundraising and their role in the program, as well as successfully implemented a plan for best practices in relationships between managers and employees and best practices in building strong public partnerships. I also help assist our Employee Coordinator in finding job opportunities for the people we support with intellectual disabilities and help them get the necessary Medicaid Funds that they deserve.

I managed the logistics of all marketing projects within the company, from planning trade shows and events (locally and internationally) to managing the website. I was in charge of all communication and details in the event planning and held the sole responsibility of creating successful events. I wrote grants for helping with the cost of international tradeshows annually, as well as seek out new opportunities in regards to grants and other options for the company. I managed the budget and oversaw the use of funds and well as ran the needed reports throughout the fiscal year.

I assisted the AHIA’s (Accessible Home Improvements of America) president with all duties, including all marketing campaigns, online activity, administrative work and member renewal certifications and dues.I managed the design of the AHIA website and maintained it as well as maintained the Facebook and YouTube pages. I managed the web based online training course for all AHIA members – certifications in CEAC (Certified Environmental Access Consultant). I managed the design and launch of all advertising materials and campaigns, online and offline.
