- Maintain, improve, and build a variety of critical datasets and tools that support operations and analysis of the agency MBS market;- Keep up-to-date on mortgage market commentary and provide timely and relevant written summaries;- Develop a solid understanding of MBS market data sources, such as trade data and loan- and pool-level information.- Work toward more fully integrating those data sources with the team’s day-to-day activities. This may include integrating data into Spotfire dashboards or leveraging other business intelligence tools;- Assist senior staff members with ad-hoc projects related to both operations and market analysis, particularly focusing on data analysis and manipulation.- Participate in the execution of agency MBS reinvestment operations.

-Run batch production jobs for the delivery of monthly and quarterly client reports-Record and escalate all warnings and other messages received during batch runs to resolve internal technical issues-Conduct monthly and quarterly pre-and post-production tasks; review and escalate inputs and report output-Visually scrutinize transactions reported internally against source data reported via custodian websites, portfolio manager statements and other sources -Be responsible as called upon for the coverage of Altair’s daily processing, manual account reconciliation, and servicing needs of all advisory and outside reporting clients-Ensure that new client combo and individual performance reports are set up accurately and timely according to established procedures -Manually populate and scrutinize the accuracy of information in relational databases by entering data into proprietary systems-Perform other manual data-entry tasks in order to process, reconcile and publish client portfolio data for investments from non-electronic sources-Research investment accounting and performance related questions and provide a high level of helpful and responsive client service; ensure that all data problems raised by reporting and data recipients (re-runs) are resolved in a thoughtful manner-Maintain and improve documentation of all procedures-Assist with other project work as needed

-Implement new client accounts, includes: preparing and processing new account applications, transfers, termination letters to prior managers/custodians, cost basis reconciliations, placing trades and making transfers to effect Altair's recommended portfolio-Manage tasks to effect portfolio reallocations, includes: trading Mutual Funds, stocks, ETFs; raising cash/depositing from/to Separately Managed Accounts-Process cash and asset movements-Perform account maintenance functions such as address changes, email updates, legal title changes, trustee changes, client death processing, client terminations-Train incoming Client Operations Analysts -Perform various project work and inquiries as instructed by Manager or Director

-Prepare and process paperwork to subscribe clients into Alternative Investment funds, both, liquid and illiquid-Process funding wires and redemptions for liquid funds as well as capital calls for illiquid funds.-Assist Client Operations Analysts in processing tasks when needed-Assist in training incoming Investment Operations and Client Operations Analysts-Perform various project work and inquiries as instructed by Client Operations Team, Manager, or Director.
