During winter break, I applied for a part-time job and fortunately got selected. I was in Examination Department in 33-Block (Distance Education) where our work is to receive the exam sheet packages of Distance Education students of the University from many parts of the state (Ludhiana, Amritsar, Chandigarh, etc) and then report to our seniors in Incharge. My job was to confirm the receipt of the exam sheet and also the count of the sheets from our database records. Moreover, after verifying the sheets database with the help of other colleagues we pack them back separately according to their respective domain and course code and then send them to Facilities for evaluation.Furthermore, on the due dates, we receive the evaluated sheets from the faculties and scrutinize them also keep checking the received packets by putting signs on them. At last, we stack them in racks in the records room for future use just in case of need again.It was a good time working at that job. All the staff is supportive and friendly. I learn many skills from them like prioritizing the task at hand and coordination between teams which is crucial for a good team player. They also taught me some tips and tricks on Microsoft Excel and other computer software so that my work goes smoothly and with accuracy.
