I matured quickly as an Army daughter and it made me very family oriented. I have been a fiancé and mother of two for 11 years. Over those years we became very adventurous. We enjoy hiking, camping, kayaking, last minute road trips. Nature is just a part of us. I am my own person and I don’t let anyone affect that. My heart is my biggest strength but also my weakness. I lend a hand without questioning or expectations. Growing up my future was very important to me. I was an Honor Roll and successful art student throughout school. When I was 15, I was offered an opportunity in an Ambassadors program. That led me to a summer at Georgetown University studying CSI Forensics. This is where I found my passion in helping others. So for the last 16 years, I find myself in helping situations. I attended WVBC to complete my first Associates degree. While attending, I was Secretary of Student Council for 2 years. In that time we created a space for students to study and have tutors but also a food drive/pantry to assist students and local families. From there, I went on to work for DHHR Director of Social Services as an assistant and took online classes at SIU for my second degree. While working for DHHR I learned the metrics of West Virginia’s resources and needs. It furthered my passion of helping. One day my family and I would love to foster. For the past 2 years or so, I had opportunities to work with Veterans and elderly as a Caregiver. While being with them I realized any gesture of kindness can change one’s life.That is my primary goal.
