As a commercial and domestic cleaner I had the task of every day cleaning in customers homes and work places. I provided cleaning services of a high standard, making sure to reach all of the nooks and crannies. I worked with a partner on a regular basis and had been tasked with housekeeping on my own when required.

As a member of the team at Housing and Care 21 I had many responsibilities that included the following: -Supporting individuals to live independently within their own homes and in an Extra care scheme. -Supporting with personal care, cooking meals and general house work and shopping. -Supporting individuals to be independent outside of the scheme for example going shopping. -Meanwhile maintaining their dignity and respecting their privacy. -Attending training provided and staff meetings. -Reporting and recording any accidents, deaths damaged equipment and potential hazards within the home and it's grounds. -Handling medication whether it be administration, dispensing and prompting or ordering and booking in new prescriptions. -Having a group of Keyworker Clients who's care plans I keep up to date with risk assessments and other information changes. It is my responsibility to contact Care Managers to arrange changes in care packages if needed. -Sometimes, I may need to call for emergency services if there's is a problem with a resident/client's health. In some cases I may need to attempt CPR if there is not DNAR in place. I am trained in this.I had been acting as Senior Carer when needed to step up and later was accepted into the position full time. This meant I had increased responsibilities. These included carrying out Spot Checks on my colleagues, MAR chart audits, supervisions and 1-1s and generally making sure the shift ran smoothly.

As a member of the team at Sowerby House I had many responsibilities that included the following:Supporting residents with all of their personal care needs (physical, emotional or spiritual) whilst maintaining their dignity and respecting their privacy. Assist with care of individuals who are dying or have progressive illnesses. Observe Clients and continually assess their needs.Complete written daily records as instructed and in line with the Company’s policies and procedures. Answer Nurse call system, giving assistance as required. Maintain good communication skills with residents family members, friends and colleagues. Carry out minimal cleaning duties. Attend training provided and staff meetings. Report and record any accidents, deaths damaged equipment and potential hazards within the home and it's grounds.
