I am dedicated to democratizing knowledge sharing and learning. Learning is the responsibility of the learner and not of the organization. This philosophy led to my journey with Easygenerator, which I co-founded. In my 11 years as CEO of Easygenerator, I established our approach of 'Employee-generated Learning.' In 2022, I took on the role of Chief Learning Strategist, focusing on thought leadership and defining the products and company's strategic vision and direction. My book, 'Employee-generated Learning,' which I wrote with Videhi Bhamidi, explores the concept at the heart of Easygenerator's success. As a recognized speaker, I regularly share my insights on a global scale through conferences and podcasts. My expertise revolves around corporate learning and learning technology, emphasizing employee-generated learning. Three major technological revolutions have shaped my professional path:1. The emergence of personal computers and mobile devices: I discovered the world of learning and personal computers in 1985 while teaching with personal computers. 2. The rise of the Internet: I rode the first Internet wave in the nineties as the CEO of an Internet start-up.3. The remarkable evolution of artificial intelligence: In my current role at Easygenerator, I'm amidst developments in artificial intelligence. I am lucky to have been working on the intersection between learning and technology, allowing me to innovate in the learning sphere, which I love doing.

General ManagerLocatienet 1998 - 2003UsMy internet adventure. In 1998 there already was a website called Locatienet, with a mapping service, they had a couple of hundred visitors per month. I started with Bridgis (the company that owned the site) and we build an independent internet company from here with sites like Routenet, Trafficnet and Locatienet. When I left Locatienet it was in the top 10 internet publishers of the Netherlands and it was financially healthy thanks to the location based and subscription services we developed. The goal was to train a group of 20 unemployed so that they would be able to hold a bookkeeping position. The innovative part was that computer bookkeeping was a part of the curriculum. I was the first teacher of this course and designed the course, started it up in Rotterdam and helped expand it to other cities. In my 5 years I have trained about 300 people who all got a job in the end.
