Despite how incredibly powerful our brains are, they are so complex that by nature we will never truly understand exactly how they work. I developed an interest for Neuroscience while working in the customer service industry. With every new customer I interacted with, the more questions I had about the human condition. I never felt quite right in this industry but I do not regret my experience as I gained many important skills necessary for cordially interacting with others, anticipating needs, and dealing with high stress situations.Last year, I had the opportunity to enroll in Atlas School. Although I did not have any previous experience in tech, I was fascinated with the intersection of machine learning and neuroscience, and the potential to utilize technology to gain more insight into our own patterns and behaviors. This past year has been the most fulfilling and peaceful year of my life as I have found my place doing what I have always done best - analyzing patterns and asking myself "why?". My methodical style of thinking has benefited me greatly in this field and I love the predictable unpredictability of computer science.Many aspects of machine learning were inspired by our own brains, but unlike the human brain, we have full control over the 'seemingly irrelevant stimuli, subliminal information, and internal forces' used in training models and I find great comfort in this.So, I am thrilled to get to be apart of the booming world of machine learning, and contribute to its potential to improve our lives and better understand the world we live in. I have experience not just with Python, but SQL, Javascript, C, HTML, and CSS as well. Thank you for taking the time to read this and I am looking forward to connecting.
