This PhD project addressed environmentally-friendly processes and their optimization. In particular, implementation of bioprocesses for sustainable bioplastic production under sterile and. non-sterile conditions, resource recovery and green transitions.

Assisted in planning and teaching of two different courses on master's level, '' Process design for industry & society'' and ''Resource recovery from waste streams''. Initiated and supervised the course projects which were regarding design and analysis of Biorefineries within different industries.Evaluated the projects and provided feedback. Each year the student groups varied from 4 to 8 members.

Supervised bachelors and masters students, both as groups or individually on their final thesis project. Additionally, supervised different masters students conducting internship in the Covid-19 project. The supervision has entailed different stages of their work, namely; literature review, experimental design, laboratory work, data collection and analysis, report preparation and presentation.

Was a member of a joint multidisciplinary project conducting state-of-the-art research on monitoring Covid-19 in the wastewater of Stockholm region. Developing and improving an early warning system to grasp the spread of Covid-19 and future potential outbreaks within the society.This project was a collaboration with Scilife lab. Assisted in the design and analysis of experiments, with the full responsibility of their execution and monitoring. The experiments were defined within the project “the suitability of biodiesel as a sustainable renewable energy source”. The project—first national of its own kind—was focused on evaluating the algal growth, its harvesting methods, its potential for wastewater treatment and further biodiesel generation from it.

Conducting the product’s quality control tests in the analytical laboratory, measuring conductivity, pH, the content of different chemical compounds in the products, and checking compliance with the test’s specifications and regulations.
