"What do you want to be when you grow up?” A question that has been asked over and over again in my lifetime. To be honest, my answer is always changing. I am a woman of many passions. However, one thing that has remained the same is my heart to help others. Where God puts my hands to work, they will work. In 2019, my grandmother was diagnosed with cancer. When I tell you my whole world was flipped upside down, I really mean it. I wanted to help. I wanted to fix the problem. I wanted to heal her. However, I soon realized I could never heal her physically. The one thing I could do was help her in every other way: emotionally, mentally, and socially. Not only did I advocate for her, but I became a companion for her to confide in and feel a sense of "normalcy" around. In June 2023, she reached the end of her fight. She has become my drive to continue to help others in any and all ways that I can. I will use my hands to support those in need. Not only is this my way of honoring her, but this is my goal and vision for my life - to use my helping hands and empathic heart to help and heal in a broken and unfair world.I am deeply committed to making a positive impact on the lives of others and aspire to contribute meaningfully to the well-being of my community. My passion lies in helping those in need, whether through lending a supportive ear, offering a helping hand, or actively participating in initiatives that foster positive change. I believe that by extending kindness and compassion, we can create a ripple effect that not only uplifts individuals but also strengthens the bonds that unite us as a collective force for good. Through my dedication to helping others, I aim to inspire a sense of unity and empower those around me to thrive and reach their fullest potential.
