In 2006, ConocoPhillips was invited by Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) to bid on the development of the Shah Gas Field located onshore UAE. Led a team of multi-discipline engineers and conducted front-end studies to prepare development plan, cost estimates and execution strategy. COP won the tender and in 2008 formed a JV with ADNOC to complete FEED for producing and processing 1 BCFD of extremely sour gas. Relocated to FEED Contractor office in California and then to Abu Dhabi as part of the Project Leadership Team.

Provided coordination between multi-discipline teams

Coordinated the results from the pilot plant with the Engineering team that was developing a commercial plant design and the Business Development group that was working on opportunities for GTL application.

Integrated LNG Project at Ras Laffan, Qatar.

In July 2003, ConocoPhillips and Qatar Petroleum formed a JV to develop an integrated LNG Project with a capacity of 7.8 MMTA. Transferred to Qatar with responsibilities for developing front-end activities to support the LNG Project teams in Houston and assist in the set up of the new business unit. In April 2005, appointed Project Manager for the Common Product Storage and Loading facilities for LNG, LPG, condensate and sulfur. This project was done in coordination with Exxon Mobil and Shell who were partners in these common facilities located at Ras Laffan. Engineering Leadership

A joint venture $400 Million project between Conoco Inc and Total was approved by the Syrian Government in March 1999 to collect and process flared associated gas at several onshore production facilities in North East Syria. The project scope included gas gathering and compression stations, pipelines and gas processing facilities. As Engineering Manager supervised a multi-discipline team of engineers from Conoco, Elf and Syrian Petroleum Company in the EPC and commissioning phase

Various engineering and projects in the US and Middle East

As part of a multi-discipline team conducted front-end studies to identify and evaluate major growth projects in Conoco's Phoenix Park Gas Processors Limited in Trinidad and Tobago. As a result of these studies, gas processing capacity was increased by 50%.

Conducted engineering studies for a petrochemical venture with Du Pont in China, power station in Colombia and gas processing opportunities in Mexico. Provided preliminary design and development costs for oil transportation systems in Northern Russia. Reviewed industry practices and regulations regarding odorant injection in natural gas pipelines for application in the European Inter-connector Project. Evaluated gas pipeline hydraulics using simulation models for Projects in the North Sea and Dubai.Proposed an economical option for disposal of slightly sour gas for a Heavy Oil Project in Venezuela

Managed the Long Rang Plan and developed plan for accelerating oil production through infill drilling

As part of a multi-discipline team of engineers, conducted technical studies to develop strategies for implementing a miscible gas injection Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) in Dubai Petroleum Company's (DPC) offshore fields. These studies resulted in the implementation of a $ 50 million pilot project to test the process in an offshore field. Completed a $10 million project to install a 90 MMSCFD gas lift compression facility on an existing offshore platform. The project was completed 10 days ahead of schedule and $1 million below budget mainly due to installing the compression module in smaller components thereby not requiring a barge.Conducted an offshore audit that identified approximately 2.5% of total gas production in 1990 was being flared. Proposed and executed a project to recover almost 90% of this gas that was continuously vented from the underwater storage tanks. The project received CONOCO President's Environmental Finalist Award in 1993.Managed a project team for the EPC and commissioning of two wellhead platforms consisting of 16 wells, production facilities and 12 miles of sub-sea pipelines Supervised a project to complete a $6 million expansion and maintenance turnaround of a 500 million BPD of seawater treating plant to provide waterfloodCoordinated a $36 Million project for offshore facilities to supply 140 MMSCFD of lift gas at 1,550 psig.
