    • Worked across project teams to support preclinical in vivo efforts for all company programs.• Served as in vivo representative for programs in discovery and candidate nomination stages, helping to move molecules through nomination process. • Determined go/no-go decision for candidate programs.• Performed mouse model studies including biodistribution, target engagement, PK analysis, and PD studies. • Developed protocol for in-life image-based biodistribution of fluorescently labeled antibodies and trained team members.• Interfaced with outside vendors to obtain appropriate humanized transgenic and knock-in mouse models for discovery and preclinical studies.
  • Repertoire Immune Medicines
    Senior Scientist
Repertoire Immune Medicines Jun 2019 - Apr 2022
    Cambridge, Ma, Us
    • Performed in vivo mouse studies and in vitro assay development for T cell- and cell-targeted cytokine fusion protein-based immune therapies that led to candidate nomination.• Employed study results for IND-enabling, IP filing, and manuscript preparation.• Utilized available literature and sequencing databases to determine mechanism of action and predictive biomarkers for cytokine-based therapeutics.• Developed and managed project timelines and budgets; supervised and mentored a research associate.• Collaborated in cross-functional teams, including product development, clinical biomarkers, competitive intelligence, and facilities management.

    • Used various knockout mice to characterize the T cell response to flu including whole mouse and bone marrow-derived primary immune cells. Volunteered in science education in the Memphis community.
  • Emory University
    Phd Candidate
    Emory University Sep 2007 - Aug 2013
    Atlanta, Ga, Us
Principle Investigator: Martin Moore, PhDDefining Virulence Mechanisms of Respiratory Syncytial VirusMy research focuses on a BALB/c mouse model of respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), specifically the causes of increased pathogenesis and mucus production and the role of the immune system in these processes. To model severe RSV infection, I use a recently isolated clinical strain called A2001/2-20, which results in increased disease severity, marked by mucus production, increased weight loss, and increased breathing effort. My research focuses on the following areas: 1) The role of the A2001/2-20 fusion (f) protein in mucus production and increased pathogenesis. 2) The role of neutrophils in mucus production during RSV infection.
  • Emory University
Biochemistry And Cell Biology Concepts Teaching Assistant
    Emory University Aug 2012 - Dec 2012
    Atlanta, Ga, Us
I worked as a teaching assistant in this foundation class that is taken by most first year biological sciences graduate students at Emory University. I prepared a 10 minute concept talk once a week to highlight information learned in lectures and wrote and graded open-ended question-based tests.
