About Kat Forbes
My name is Kat, and I am an adaptable young ecosystem restoration practitioner in training, with a background in Life Sciences (B.Sc) from McMaster, and a post-graduate certificate in Ecosystem Restoration from Niagara College. I have always been greatly interested in the natural world, with a keen interest in wildlife conservation. Over many experiences, I have honed a variety of skills, including ArcGIS, AutoCAD, Ecological Land Classification (ELC), Ontario Wetland Evaluation System (OWES), Total Station Survey (TSS), fauna/flora identification, team coordination, and management. During school, I took part in creating a wetland within the Grindstone watershed, including completing a design and implementing it, along with installing a variety of habitat features. I want to use these skills, and gain many more in a career where I can be an effective team player promoting environmental sustainability.
Listed skills include Bird Banding, Gis, Environmental Science, Positive Psychology, and 4 others.
