As Head of Close Protection and Events, I am responsible for all elements in delivery of bespoke security solutions for number of very high profile clients; from risk assessment, client liaison, operations management, selecting, briefing and heading up CP teams for a variety of events, occasions and asset protection tasks in London and the wider UK.Building and managing ultra-discrete personal protection teams, to 70 man high profile events teams, I have tasked operations and supplied services to:The Royal Opera HouseZSL London ZooClipper Round the World Yacht RaceTag HeuerPatek Philippe Goodwood Festival of Speed & a number of HNW individuals in a personal protection capacity.

Initially taken on as a Close Protection Officer for a variety of asset and personal protection tasks for this small and niche Mayfair security company, I was very quickly offered the full time role of Chief Security Officer - managing a street surveillance team, a front of house team and extensive high spec Close Protection Operations for a very prestigious Bond Street client.

Close Protection tasks in UK and Overseas (Istanbul during civil disturbance), clients including Mitsui, Pearson Group, Marks & Spencer. Delivering discrete, low profile personal and personable protection for high net worth individuals in a wide range of scenarios.

I am considered the top leader for the most highly regarded Adventure Travel operator in the Industry - Wild Frontiers (www.wildfrontiers.co.uk) - who operate some of the most pioneering and adventurous itineraries to some of the most remote corners of the world. In this capacity, I had sole responsibility on the ground for the clients, itinerary and local crew. Ensuring the clients had the most positive experience, often in very difficult and rapidly developing circumstances and in potentially hostile environments (hartals in Bangladesh, mass evacuations in Mauritania, unsupported expeditions through DRC). I relied on my abilities to integrate positively with the local population, make essential contacts who would often be crucial to the safety and success of the operation, and to quickly and confidently assess my environment. Often pioneering tourism in countries where no such infrastructure exists:Mauritania, Mali, Togo, Norway, China, Jordan, Syria, Oman, Namibia, Botswana, Egypt, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Papua New Guinea, India, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Indonesia, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Mozambique, Tajikistan, Congo (DRC), Sri Lanka, Azerbaijan, Arctic Sweden, Morocco, Georgia, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Mongolia, Myanmar, Russia, Nepal, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda and many destinations throughout Europe.Specialised in leading first departures of new itineraries in new destinations.Conducting recruitment and training programs for local staff involved with operations, and with UK leaders under assessment.

Responsible for all areas of operation of approximately 80 adventure tour itineraries in Egypt, Greece, the Balkans and Western Europe; training, recruiting and managing both UK and local tour leaders. Responsible for assessing and managing every aspect of tour operations, to ensuring itineraries ran to highest safety standards in the industry. Writing copy to promote trips. Designing and implementing new itineraries with local operators.
