Assisted with volunteer recruitment, scheduling and training for emergency overnight shelters in the south suburbs of Chicago. Responsible for multiple office duties including updating and managing volunteer database, managing and organizing client intake system, general hospitality, and organization.

 Responsible for managing three other staffers, more than 600 volunteers over the course of eight weeks, a $60,000 budget, and over 18 emergency home repair projects. Specific responsibilities included fundraising thousands of dollars for special projects, maintaining relations within the community, choosing projects, and facilitating youth empowerment programming.

Worked for a general contractor remodeling, building, and refinishing three restaurants in the Northern Virginia area. Performed a variety of miscellaneous jobs around the restaurants, including plumbing, framing, painting, hanging sheetrock, installing drop-ceilings, taping/mudding, demolition work, and working with a variety of tools and machinery.

Supervised project management, delivery of supplies, purchasing of all materials and supplies, and helped managed an $80,000 budget over the course of the summer. Assisted with fundraising efforts and training three new staff members.

Managed more than 500 volunteers over the course of 8 weeks. Ordered food from a major food distributor for all volunteers and staff, managed cooks, and supervised facility upkeep. Maintained relationship with the community, including communicating with facility manager.
