I worked as an ABA therapist for children with autism and related disorders. I implement applied behavior analysis strategies in a one-on-one environment specifically targeting essential skills based on the child's developmental level.

1. Calculate reliability coefficients and summarize reliability data of various direct observation data collection systems.2. Assist in the monitoring and adjustment of routine behavioral assessments and protocols. 3. Assume responsibility for case-related activities in conjunction with the primary therapist (e.g., running analyze and compare programs, staff training, anticipating case related needs).4. Assist with the training of staff regarding data collection for assessments and treatment protocols.5. Utilizes safe and appropriate handling, management and guidance procedures when transporting or working with patients.6. Assist in the implementation of research protocols and maintenance of research literature and educational materials.7. Assist in the purchase and maintenance of supplies necessary for implementation of behavior protocols.

The Independence place is an after school social skill program for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder ages k-5. Along with the staff, I promote positive interaction between peers and enforce appropriate behaviors. I also complete homework with the children and work on academic skills one on one throughout the school year.

I completed 320 hours as a Behavior Data Specialist Assistant Volunteer. During this time, I recorded data for each individual child during 30 minute intervals, and worked one on one with each child while enhancing academic and behavioral functioning based on Applied Behavior Analysis.
