Director Of Title Ix, Ada And Compliance Training
▪ Serve as advisor to the Chief Equity and Diversity Officer by providing leadership and support in areas that promulgate a diverse, inclusive, and safe campus culture.▪ Responsible for coordination, investigation, and resolution of all student and employee Title IX and Title VII complaints of sexual harassment and misconduct.▪ Supervise the College’s compliance with Federal and State reporting requirements and related statistical analysis related to Title IX, the Clery Act, and Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) regulations.▪ Responsible for ensuring appropriate education of the campus community regarding applicable legal and regulatory requirements pertaining to Title IX and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and continuously identifying best practices to prevent, remedy and eliminate all aspects of unlawful sex discrimination and violations of the ADA.▪ Develop and implement regular campus climate surveys to assess the prevalence of sexual violence on campus.▪ Represent the College internally and externally on Title IX matters.▪ Recipient of VOCA grant funding in the amount of $336,339 from the State of New Jersey, Office of the Attorney General, through the New Jersey College & University Sexual Violence Awareness and Response Grant Program. The grant expanded campus-wide services, employee training, and direct clinical services available for students.
Director Of Affirmative Action And Workplace Compliance
The Director of Affirmative Action reports to the College President and serves as an advisor to the President and to the Director of Human Resources, providing leadership in the development and implementation of programs that support a diverse and inclusive campus culture. The Director plays a significant role in the safeguarding of faculty, students, and staff while using exceptional judgment and discretion. The Director collaborates with academic and administrative units to promote recruitment, retention and success of a diverse student and employee college community and is responsible for helping to ensure diversity, monitoring and coordinating compliance with federal, state, and college affirmative action and equal employment opportunity laws, policies, regulations, and guidelines.Duties: -Serve as the College's EEO and liaison to internal and external state and federal agencies. Monitors compliance with AA/EEO polices and programs, and works with various campus constituencies to facilitate an understanding of how to apply policies and programs to daily actions, behaviors and decisions to support diversity, inclusiveness, equal access, and equitable treatment.-Responsible for the investigation and resolution of student and employee Title VII and Title IX complaints, federal and state reporting requirements, and related statistical analysis.-Coordinates and monitors compliance with Title IX, ADA, Sections 503 and 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, and applicable EEO/AA provisions of the NJ Administrative Code.-Fulfills lead role in advancing and fulfilling the College's Strategic Plan targets linked to equity and diversity. Evaluates existing program goals, operations and performances; as required, and develops and implements alternative procedures to improve performance.-Meets with search committees to disseminate Affirmative Action and EEO guidelines and procedures and promote the college’s mission of Diversity and Inclusion in the search process.
