About Kat Scoggin

I am a performance auditor working in state and local government since 2009. I have led award-winning audits of San Francisco Police Department's use-of-force data collection and reporting, San Francisco Sheriff's staffing practices and overtime, and San Francisco's citywide procurement function which received Distinguished Knighton awards for outstanding performance audit for an extra-large audit shop from the Association of Local Government Auditors in 2020, 2019, and 2015 respectively. I was also recognized by my employers for outstanding work including a Merit Award from the San Francisco Controller for implementing a robust audit recommendation follow-up process and the Outstanding Auditor I award for my work on California's financial audit from the Bureau of State Audits.
