Katrin Woods is a sophomore currently on her way to earning a Bachelors in Communication Sciences and Disorders and getting a minor in vocal performance by May 2022. Katrin is a skilled musician with a love for the human voice and getting to know people through music and engaging conversation. She believes the human voice is the outlet for the soul and aims to become a private voice teacher and speech pathologist for children with developing voices. Katrin has experience working with children ages 4-11 in her local church, elementary schools, and the Shands Craniofacial clinic with children that have cleft palate. She has been trained classically for nine years as a singer and has a good grasp on English, Italian, and German diction.Katrin has eight years of experience with oboe and six years of percussion, including two years of steel drum.When not working with kids or playing music, Katrin can be found composing music or writing her upcoming novel. Her writing experience is used to come up with creative ways to use words that engage readers and listeners and loves striking up enriching conversation. As far as technical skills go, Katrin is well-versed in Google docs and Microsoft word for writing, and uses Musescore for composition. She prefers to do everything else by hand, being an avid crafter and traditional artist.Katrin is seeking a team of people who prioritize individualized care, because she believes each person and the voice in them is unique and should have quality care to match that.
