The one lesson learned that is a cornerstone of my nursing is TEAMWORK. I carry this style of nursing into any arena I find myself working. As an RN I have worked in Administrative Nursing as Assistant Director of Nursing in Long Term Care, Case Manager in Hospice and Private Duty Nursing. As an LVN I practiced bedside nursing as a charge nurse and as a CNA, I performed patient care completing ADLs. My career has been Honored with the care of medically fragile children at the Pumpkin Patch, Temple TX.; Privileged in the opening of The Lighthouse at Altenheim an In-patient Hospice unit in Round Rock, TX.; Thrilled to participate in the Texas Star Kids MCO rollout as a Service Coordinator at United HealthCare. There I worked in dual roles as RN Service Coordinator and Palliative/Hospice Care Consulting RN.Working as a team is the most efficient method for patient, resident, client outcomes. My passion to advocate for the patient, resident, client is a skill that is second to none. Collaborating with a team that shares this passion results in positive results.
