One of my favorite occasions to work with Kat was when she would organize our company to volunteer for the annual city wide Hands On Nashville event. She took care of everything from connection us with the organization, the initial emails explaining the opportunity, making sure everyone remembered they volunteered (me:), where to go, what to do, etc etc. Our company always had a huge turn out and she was able to get people excited about making our community better. Often times, people that want to volunteer can have the best of intentions when initially agreeing to do so, but often drop out last minute. Kat always handled those situations gracefully, figuring out a solution without any sign of frustration! I know I couldn't do that! As a more personal aside, Kat is in the top 3 most caring and thoughtful people I have ever met in my life. That is not a hyperbolic statement, believe me. Working with her means not only having someone you can trust to get the job done above and beyond the scope and quality desired (and on time), but she genuinely cares about her team and takes into consideration everyone's personality and how best to make things work for them knowing that it serves the greater good. I've honestly never worked with anyone quite like Kat. She inspired me to do better, have more courage and care for others better. Also! Even though I haven't worked with Kat for a couple of years now, she ALWAYS reaches out to include me when volunteer events arise at Emma. She remembers that I care about that stuff, and makes sure I have the opportunity to help them make a difference. Incredible. " and "Kat has the rare gift of being both strategic and tactical.
