Pörssi ry has over 1800 members.As a photographer and videographer I take photos and film videos from different events and for marketing purposes. I am also a part of media team, which is responsible for planning the communications and marketing of Pörssi.

Jyväskylä Entrepreneurship Society is a community from one student to another. Our purpose is to create an invigorating environment for innovative, determined students, where they can meet new people, business opportunities and ideas, get help for developing their ideas, learn new things, get inspired and even get employed. We organize various events where entertainment meets education. The operative work in JES is done by eight board members and four officials. The board takes care of decision making and event organizing. I’m one of the board members with communications and graphic design as my areas of responsibility. As a communications officer and graphic designer I work together with another communications officer. Together we plan communications and marketing, update Facebook, LinkedIn and websites, and make videos and write blog texts. Mostly I take care of visual content creation and my partner is responsible for textual content creation. I create banners for Facebook events, photograph, update Instagram and make the newsletters, for example.In the board of JES I get to improve my teamwork and organizing skills. Kamua Oy is a marketing and communications office and a part of publicly traded media group Keskisuomalainen. Kamua Oy creates content for different organizational magazines and has maintained the group's storybank, which was used by around 30 newpapers throughout Finland.As a freelance journalist I write articles for different organizational magazines, for example the personnel/customer magazine of Central Finland's health care district and a real estate field magazine Keski-Suomen Kiinteistöviesti. I have also written articles for the storybank about different topics such as wellness and decoration. Writing an article contains interviewing, photographing, photo editing and writing the final text.

Pörssi ry is the subject association of the students of Jyväskylä University School of Business and Economics. It is one of the biggest and the most active subject association in Central Finland. Pörssi ry has over 1800 members.As the Head of Communications I planned and executed both organizational communication in various channels, such as websites, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, email newsletters and blog. I was also the editor in chief or Pörssikurssi magazine, which is published five times a year. In addition, I did lots of content production, photographing, video editing, graphic design and various presentations. I brought various new things to the communications sector. For example, I created a new Facebook group system, planned and executed a video campaign for new students, and made the first cooperation partner communication strategy.I was the leader of Pörssi ry’s marketing team which is an open volunteer team. During my board year I reformed the team’s tasks and procedures, branded it again, and introduced team trainings. Due to these reforms the team’s freshman participation grew from one to 15, which was an amazing improvement. As a totally new concept for Pörssi ry I started co-operation with communications subject associations Parku ry, Imago ry and Lööppi ry. Together we organized various marketing and communications trainings and workshops and also an excursion in four companies. As a member of the board I participated in board meetings and all the decision making concerning our subject association. Together we also organized various events, recruited officials and tutors, and acquainted the new board. The skills needed in the task were strategic communication and it's coordination, teamwork, leadership, creativity and controlling the big picture. The city of Jyväskylä has a tourist marketing unit Visit Jyväskylä, which is responsible for coordinating and delivering joint marketing, content delivery and development for Visit Jyväskylä's online channels, printed materials, campaigns, fairs and building partnerships alongside with maintaining network cooperation. As a marketing project assistant I substituted the marketing designer of Visit Jyväskylä for two and a half months. My job included various tourist marketing tasks, underlining digital marketing and creating marketing materials. During the summer I got to create many different advertisements for papers, websites and video screens. I was responsible for visitjyvaskyla.fi portal and its structure, content production, advertising spaces and companies' visibilities. Contacting and making contracts with companies was a part of this. Also maintaining the image bank and updating social media were my tasks. I planned texts and images for social media campaigns and created landing pages. I also got to screenwrite speeches for marketing videos and take care of their publication processes. Instructing the photographers and taking care of their photography permissions were on my responsibility. Additionally I photograhed a lot myself for example for Instagram.The job taught me a lot about website editing and admining as well as creating marketing materials. I learned how digital marketing works in practice and how to create campaigns and remarkable content for social media and websites. Also my photography and IT skills improved hugely.

VK Liikuntapalvelut Oy has ladies' fitness center Elefit in the centrum of Jyväskylä. Elefit offers a gym, group fitness classes and personal training services. The company has 40-50 employees.As a customer advisor I acquire customers to Elefit. I do personal saleswork and promotion. I have also assisted the head of sales in recruiting and training new employees.As a personal trainer I plan personal gym programs and give gym instruction. I also plan and instruct group workouts.In these tasks I have learned selling, affecting people, instructing skills, customer service and getting along with different people. On my second month in the sales team I made the best results of all team members. During the summer my team voted me six times as the "Best dude" of the week.

ABIcrew-JSBE is the applicant recruiting team of Jyväskylä School of Business and Economics and it's subject association Pörssi ry. The team, which had three members, gives presentations for high school students and does promotion work in different events. The team also market JSBE in social media.As communications officer I was responsible for organizing high school visits and contacting high school teachers. I also made most of our social media updates and wrote a couple of articles to the blog and the newspaper of Pörssi ry. My biggest project was making new materials for high school visits. During the year I did 12 presentations in high schools myself.In the task I learned performance, teamwork and social media marketing. I also became a better photographer and writer.

On July and August 2014 I worked as a customer servant and website editor in the headoffice in Porvoo. My tasks were updating knitting instructions on their website and admining the products on their online store. In the store I did customer service and cashier work. I continued updating the websites to the end of January 2016. While working in the store I learned customer service skills, Swedish and English, and how to use cash register. As the website editor I learned to edit photos and to use information systems.

HMeenlinna Area, Finland

I was a coach for a group of 10-15-year-old competitive swimmers. The task included planning and instructing the training and informing swimmers' parents. Additionally I wrote a coaching blog and newspaper articles about the swimming club, and organized different events for it's members. I was also a private coach for a few adult swimmers. As a coach I learned instructing, coaching and interaction skills. I also learned how to motivate people, give feedback and build teamspirit.
