* Worked on a video streaming social network where individuals can upload content for general viewership and interactivity.* Developed video player component consisting of multiple microservices utilizing JavaScript and React on the frontend and Node.js and Express for the RESTful API.* Designed and implemented a proxy server to handle communication between client and multiple services, deploying the server and proxy on AWS Elastic Beanstalk, and static resources on S3 (videos and images).* Incorporated MongoDB on MongoDB Atlas (database-as-a-service) for video list storage; led team effort to integrate all proxies and components into one unified user interface.* Optimized legacy RESTful API for the e-commerce platform focused on athletic wear to handle increase in traffic of 400% (from approximately 350 to 1200 RPS) by designing service-oriented architecture with multiple AWS EC2 instances to handle separate parts of the final product.* Implemented proxy server functioning middle layer to unify all app services and deliver smooth user experience using Node.js, Express, AWS (EC2, S3), and React on the front end.* Migrated database to PostgreSQL from Cassandra due to performance increases based on load tests performed through ​Artillery.io​ and New Relic.
