About Kat H.

When I feel passionate about something, you will have to work hard, to try to stop me. I truly believe that we can find ways to live and work more intentionally and purposely. I am a big fan of minimalism and simplicity.I feel passionate about sustainable living and finding ways to make the World a better place, from a professional and personal viewpoint.I have personally experienced the power of a team, and I fully understand what a huge difference a company's culture can make in people's lives.I know how important it is to understand WHY we do, what we do.I believe in a creative power of service oriented leadership (needless to say that Simon Sinek is one of my virtual mentors). I love to be efficient, it is one of my biggest motivators.  I am also curious about the World, cultures, and people. I was lucky to live and work in Portugal (where I have done my Erasmus student exchange), and Spain, before moving to the UK. I consider each of these experiences a blessing. I have been volunteering in Manchester Dog's Home for over 4 years now, and as part of the initiatives supported by the Charity Committee of my former employer, I was able to help Age UK in numerous events and fundraising, as well as to plant trees in Salford with the City of Trees. It brings me a genuine joy to engage in such ventures. When I do not work, usually you can find me in my garden (I am very passionate about growing my own fruit, vegetables, and some flowers for bees), at the kickboxing class (I am currently holding a green belt and working to progress to the blue grade), singing in the "She Choir" - all women choir based in Manchester, or stargazing, as I love to learn about astronomy.
