Driven with passion to improve healthcare, I have focused my academic and business career on the health economics.While holding various Regional and Global leadership positions in both pharma and medtech industry, I have been working with pricing & reimbursement challenges worldwide for the last 20 years. I have been the mentor and consultant to more than 20 start ups involved in the development of innovative medical devices and digital health solutions so far as well.I am the founder of the Global Special Interest Group Digital Health and short courses “The Role of Digital Endpoints in the Value Generation for Health Technologies”, “Risk-Sharing/Performance-Based Arrangements in Developing Countries” at International Society of Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research (ISPOR). Currently I am the member of Educational and post member of Health Science Policy Councils at ISPOR as well.Being the university professor I've supervised over 30 MBA and number of Phd students until the end of 2022. In partnership with the Polish Medical Research Agency, Deloitte Digital and the Polish Central Hospital of Ministry of Interior Affairs I founded the first Digital Health six months educational program designed for digital transformation leaders working in the healthcare sector. I developed the first Master Program combining Health Economics & Big Data (HEBDA) which was financed by EU Power Grant 2018.I have dedicated my academic research towards the methodological advancements into the value assessment of pharmaceuticals, medical devices and digital health solutions. Passionate about Big Data, I led the first project of machine learning adaptation towards the optimal utilization of CT scanners thanks to the access to the database of more than 7 million procedures granted by the Polish Ministry of Health as well. Since January 2022, I am the leader of AI special interest group at the Polish Chamber of Physisions. With the patronage of the Polish Parliamentary Commission for Innovation & Digitalization, I have initiated the first public dialog about the societal preferences towards the adoption of AI in the healthcare.Being coauthor of more than 50 IF publications, and speaker at more than 60 international scientific conferences, Google Scholar reports over 730 citations to my scientific work as of the end of 2022.
