Katarzyna Sumislawska (Kasia) is a lead on raising awareness about Foreign Information Manipulation and Interference (FIMI) in the Strategic Communication Division of the European External Action Service (EEAS). She specializes in organizational development, strategic communication training and methodology development, partnership building, and advocacy. At the EEAS she builds and sup[ports a defender community to FIMI. Kasia holds a postgraduate diploma in PR and Communications, and MAs in Communication for Development and Interdisciplinary Latin American Studies.Kasia excels in building ecosystems within human rights, media, and art-related industries. Her involvement in art, design thinking methodology, and creative mindset enable her to innovate and implement sustainable changes in the organizations she works with.As a communications expert, she has collaborated with international institutions including the European Commission, European Parliament, Frontex, UNHCR, and various NGOs and civil society organizations in Asia, Europe and South America. Her focus areas are education, human rights, digital technologies, and gender.Her projects include:- production of a 360-degrees online exhibition to highlight the issue of gender based violence and victim blaming; - management of an awareness and behavioral change communications campaign on safe migration with a training to the citizen journalists in Cambodia;- organization of a social media influencers study visit to the reception centers in Greece and production of short film screened on human right festival across Poland relating the stories of the refugees and asylum seekers;- production of thematic video clips for the European Commission (summaries of events, events trailers, etc.)- production of intercultural mural connecting Christian, Jewish, Muslim, and Roma youth;- organization of country-wide happenings promoting sustainable mobility in Poland;- production of over 20 human-rights oriented exhibitions in Cambodia.
