I have successfully completed my dietetic internship with the University of Houston. During this internship, I had the opportunity to work at the Alvin ISD Child Nutrition Department, Kindred Hospital in the Houston Medical District, Diabetes America and the Harris Center for Mental Health and IDD. In conclusion of my internship, I and am now preparing to take my dietetic licensing exam to become a registered dietitian.

I worked with the menu planner for the Alvin ISD Child Nutrition Department. I helped her with different projects for the department along with helping to plan out the menus for the entire school district. I also conducted a plate waste study for the department, and they used my results to help decide what foods should and should not go on the menus for the next school year.
