As part of the executive leadership team, I am second in command and I design nonprofit programming and classes for our low income community looking to better themselves. I head up all of our organization's partnerships and community connections bringing in free third party services to those we serve.

SOUNDS Academy is a non-profit music education organization that teaches, mentors, and provides musical experiences and opportunities for underserved youth. Students receive individual lessons, group classes, and participate in public performances on instruments such as the violin, viola, cello, and bass. Instruments are provided to those who cannot afford one. In SOUNDS Academy students learn the values of creativity, leadership, perseverance, resilience, and teamwork through music education. We teach these values in our School Programs for lower income schools, our Strings Program, and our College-Prep Program. Students also interact with professional musicians in our Musical Access program. SOUNDS Academy Interns help further the development of music education to undeserved youth and Title 1 schools. This awesome group is comprised of dreamers and the doers who see no bounds when given a task and making it happen. SOUNDS Academy Interns adapt and understand that it can be possible to do the “impossible”. They help to mold the future of the students, which we serve. SOUNDS Academy Interns are elite examples of creativity, leadership, perseverance, resilience, and teamwork. They don’t make excuses; they make it happen!

SOUNDS Academy teaches, mentors, and provides musical experiences and opportunities for under-served youth who otherwise would not have access to music education throughout the Phoenix Valley. Serving 4300+ students annually, SOUNDS Academy is providing opportunities for growth and development through the magic of music. Board members work to approve long term plans, ensure the well being of the staff and adequate financial resources, in addition to communicating the mission of the organization to the community and aid in organizational growth.

The CaringCase Project was established during the Summer of 2019 and is based out of Phoenix, Arizona. By combining the two words, CaringCase is a container, (a backpack, tote bag or messenger bad) filled with everyday essentials given to an individual in need.The mission of CaringCase is to supply individuals combating homelessness with everyday necessities at no cost by bringing together the local community and kindness of others. Over 50 CaringCases have already been created and hand delivered to people in need.

- Must keep a positive and influential attitude with all students, colleagues, and university departments-Proactively contact and follow up with prospective students via telephone and email- Manage student applications throughout the enrollment process by using best practices, including follow-up appointments and meeting deadlines- Establish proper expectations regarding the student experience and WGU’s culture- Evaluate students’ academic goals to align with degree program selection- Resolve students’ questions and concerns throughout their enrollment process- Guide students in fulfilling program requirements- Maintain a current understanding of industry needs and degree programs- Remain compliant with standards, guidelines, and policies as set forth by WGU and the U.S. Department of Education- Must work set schedule with hours that may include evenings and weekends. Typical Shifts are 8 hours of work per day. The hours of operation are 8 am to 8 pm Mountain Time Monday – Friday, 8 am to 5 pm Saturday.

- Carry out position specific responsibilities in the following areas: library, game room, education rooms, computer lab, child watch, rock wall, events, and day camp. - Assist other Kroc staff in working to carry out successful programs and events.- Build relationships with guests and connect them to spiritual advice and opportunities- Ensure that parents and youth alike view the Kroc Center as a safe area for youth, and a place to turn in time of need.- Maintain progressive knowledge of all programs and facilities.- Enforce all rules that pertain to all programs and program areas, and the facility on a consistent and fair basis.- Promote positive family relationships.- Assist with implementation and coordination of both daily and weekly activities.
