Working within the Strategic Initiatives and Partnerships team to distribute grant funds that align with Lotterywest’s Developing Solutions priority areas. Our proactive grant making focuses on supporting systemic change and bringing partners together to explore complex challenges.

Managing Curtin's new Social Impact Hub, a place for students to discover opportunities to contribute to social change while at university. The Hub includes Curtin Volunteers!, Curtin Community Programs, Curtin Leaders Program, Students as Partners and Curtin Extra.

In this role, I contributed to the development of the Students as Partners ecosystem at Curtin. This included facilitating a Community of Practice, connecting students and practitioners, and creating training materials and resources for students and staff. Our aim is to foster a culture of co-creation and co-design with students and enhance the student voice. Ultimately, the ecosystem cultivates partnerships between Curtin students and staff, especially on matters relating to the awareness and adoption of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).I also co-led the Student Success Social Impact Hub and supported the co-curricular leadership development programs at Curtin University - including the Curtin Leaders Program, Gamechangers and the John Curtin Scholarships Program, which are all underpinned by the Social Change Model of Leadership.

I supported social impact and sustainability focused initiatives within the Faculty of Business and Law.Projects include:- Mapping initiatives to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME)- Designing and launching the Faculty of Business and Law's Ethics, Responsibility and Sustainability website- Developing a UN SDGs learning module for Curtin Business and Law students, in collaboration with the Faculty’s Sustainability in Business Council- Delivering the 2021 National Indigenous Business Summer School (WA) program, run in collaboration with UWA, ECU, The University of Notre Dame Australia and Murdoch University

I delivered tutorial workshops in 'Strategic Career Design', a first year Bachelor of Commerce common core unit. The aim of this unit is to introduce students to the impact of global labour markets, changing social trends and technological innovation on career opportunities in today's world of work. Through the application of career theory and design thinking, students examine and develop the critical employability skills required to create and sustain meaningful work across a broad range of industry sectors and cultural contexts.

The Careers & Leadership Development team aims to support the development of our students, so they can reach their potential, be prepared for the future and create positive impact in the world. We achieve this by designing innovative, relevant and engaging initiatives that allow students to explore, build skills and take action for their professional and personal development. My role was twofold: to review and pivot our services to ensure they focus on relevant skills for the future of work and to develop the capability within our team to reach high performance. Initiatives I was involved in include:Life Design Implementation: In 2018, I visited Stanford University (as part of a 'radically collaborative' Curtin team of three) and participated in the Life Design Studio, hosted at the d.school. Through this program, participants learned how to apply design thinking to the ‘wicked problem’ of designing their lives. Following this trip, our team was involved in bringing the Life Design Studio to Curtin, where 72 additional Curtin staff and students experienced the program. In 2019, we are prototyping a Curtin iteration of Stanford's Designing Your Life program for both students and staff.Adoption of an Agile Mindset: In collaboration with the Student Development management team, I was involved in facilitating a cultural change towards an Agile mindset. This included supporting the team to learn about the methodology, delivering workshops to strengthen the team, prototyping the use of an Agile Board and redesigning stand-up meetings.Head of the Canning Leadership & Rowing Program: In partnership with Curtin University Boat Club and Swan River Rowing Club, Curtin delivered a leadership development program for emerging leaders primarily from the corporate sector. This included four weeks of rowing training, complemented by a Leadership Development Speaker and Workshop Series. This program took place in October and November 2019.

I supported the career development of Faculty of Business and Law students by creating engaging career and professional development programs, workshops, events and resources.Key achievements: - In 2017, led a Design Thinking project to gather student insights about how Curtin Careers, Employment & Leadership can support Faculty of Business and Law students to be prepared for the future of work. The findings were presented at the annual NAGCAS Conference in Sydney, Australia.- Co-designed a new 'Future of Work' training workshop which was included in Curtin's Employability Award programMy role focused on three main areas:1) Workshop and resource development: Designing and delivering in-curricular and co-curricular career development workshops; Developing and reviewing career resources for students, ensuring they are relevant and informative.2) Student support: Encouraging students to build enterprise skills through work experience and extracurricular activities; Connecting with Business and Law student clubs to deliver relevant career training to their members; Engaging with Business and Law students to discuss career planning and next steps.3) Faculty engagement: Collaborating with Business and Law faculty members to design and present student engagement activities and promote career development opportunities to students.

In this role I project managed the development & presentation of the Curtin University Arcadia Australia STEAM Ahead Careers Web. The Arcadia Careers Web was presented to primary and secondary school students over two STEAM Ahead free community days. The purpose of the Web was to highlight the diverse range of jobs and people involved in presenting this significant international event.

CoAct is a national network of locally-embedded community service providers working together to create social and economic opportunities for Australians. CoAct operates solely for community benefit and invests over 90% of all revenue into the communities in which services are delivered.As Career and Development Advisor, I was responsible for developing the Skills Checkpoint Pilot Program in Western Australia. Skills Checkpoint is a free career planning service which was funded by the Australian Government as a pilot from December 2015 - June 2016. The pilot was managed by CoAct in Western Australia.

The Fogarty Foundation is a WA based, education focused philanthropic foundation. The Foundation collaborates with and provides funding to a variety of not-for-profit organisations that improve education and community outcomes in WA. As Executive Officer of the Foundation, I managed the partnership portfolio, identified opportunities across the partnership network and managed the operations of the organisation.At the Foundation, I developed three major education-focused projects: CoderDojo WA: In 2013 I designed, developed and delivered the CoderDojo WA Pilot Program at The University of Western Australia. The successful pilot led to the creation of a permanent CoderDojo WA program and role at the Fogarty Foundation.Fogarty EDvance: In 2014, I supported the Fogarty EDvance Director to successfully scale the program from one to two cohorts.The UWA Fogarty Scholarships Program: I worked with the Foundation's Executive Chair, Annie Fogarty, to design and manage the Fogarty Scholars Leadership Program. I was an informal mentor to the Fogarty Scholars, acting as a sounding board to explore their options whilst studying. I was also responsible for delivering all Leadership Program events.

The Perth International Arts Festival exists to stimulate our culture and inspire our communities by conducting a contemporary annual arts festival of the highest international quality.In this role I was responsible for the renewal of partners, completion of grant acquittals, partnership award submissions, delivery of partnership benefits and leveraging activities. In addition I was responsible for project managing a number of major Festival functions throughout the Festival period.

The West Australian Symphony Orchestra (WASO) is a vibrant leader among Australia’s cultural organisations, and Western Australia’s largest and busiest performing arts company. Established in 1928, it plays a central role in the cultural life of Western Australia.In this role I worked with a portfolio of over 50 partners. I was responsible for the renewal and contracting of these partners as well as the delivery of contracted benefits. I also worked with partners to identify and execute additional leveraging activities.
