As a heat shield intern I have been concluding some of the theoretical research into thermal sensors for re-entry undertaken in my final year dissertation. I've also been conducting tests of these sensors and gaining an insight into the various roles required in developing a satellite with multiple novel technologies.

When employed at PGL as an Activity Instructor I was trained in a range of ground sessions from problem solving to archery, as well as passing ropes assessments which enabled me to lead both abseil and zip wire sessions. As a group leader, I was the main point of contact for schools groups, ensuring trips ran smoothly by communicating with all departments (housekeeping, maintenance, catering) to solve any concerns. I also worked as a rep during the family season which involved welcoming guests at all mealtimes and running evening entertainments for up to 200 guests.

I was an intern with Managed-AIS for the 2020 summer. I worked on research and design as the company prepared to launch its online training system which would cover courses ranging from specialist AIM courses to social courses which would aid professional development. I developed skills in navigating online forums, became more comfortable with design software, and gained an understanding of how to develop a learning management system. I also participated in frequent virtual team meetings, and learned how to communicate in a professional technical environment. Throughout this time, I also became proficient with Moodle software, as well as building competency frameworks and learning plans within the site.

I worked as a camp counselor for the YMCA in New Jersey. I was responsible for the care of 10-11 year olds, and both cared for their wellbeing (from bug bites to conflicts amongst children) and planned fun and memorable moments. I also taught a multitude of sports, and led outdoor cooking sessions for children of all ages.

I worked as a barista and waitress in Kings Café in Helensburgh. I was responsible for greeting customers, seating patrons and serving food. I took orders, prepared drinks and manned the till for both sit in and take-away orders.
