Dr Kate Anthony is a Fellow of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (www.bacp.co.uk), she developed and co-authored the Guidelines for Online Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP, 2001), is co-author of the 2nd Edition Guidelines 2005 and 3rd Edition 2009, and co-author of BACP's Good Practice Guidance for working with text, audio and video (2015).She presents at a national and international level at conferences and is co-editor with Dr Stephen Goss of Technology in Counselling and Psychotherapy - A Practitioners Guide (Palgrave, 2003), The Use of Technology In Mental Health [Applications, Ethics and Practice] (1st and 2nd Editions), and co-author of Therapy Online [a practical guide]. She is also Past-President and Fellow of the International Society for Mental Health Online (www.ismho.org). Kate's doctorate was with the Metanoia Institute and Middlesex University entitled "Developing Counselling and Psychotherapy in the Age of Technology and the Internet".Kate has trained mental health and coaching practitioners since 2000, through her company Online Therapy Institute Europe Ltd. She is also a consultant and peer supervisor, and sits on the Responsible Gambling Strategy Board.
