Developed the next generation of on-air radio DJs by teaching dozens of students and non-student community members the rules of on-air broadcasting in accordance with the Federal Communications Commission. Lead our mentoring program, which provides new DJs with hands-on training with experienced DJs. To exercise interest in many of the areas of focus at the radio, I orchestrated classes in beats/music production, turn table use, and more.

To provide hyper-local, original reporting on WHUS FM with full audio/print/photo news coverage on WHUS.org, I was responsible for leading the news department, acting as both writer and editor of the team. I also produced our weekly broadcasted news show, Husky Nation News, and managed our Twitter account, @WHUSNewsDept.

I worked closely with the News Director to develop full news packages for WHUS.org about events and happenings in the UConn community and surrounding town.

I managed all aspects of our internal podcast to educate 1200+ employees on environmental, social and governance initiatives. I also collaborated with a team of five to create content in accordance with our monthly editorial calendar.

To enhance our internal communications reach, I regularly contributed written and visual content to the intranets of both business units -- CooperSurgical and CooperVision. I assisted in the streamlining of our editorial and publication processes while developing assets to improve our gathering of new story ideas.

To assess and improve the company's external media presence, I curated data across multiple social platforms and collaborated with a communications consulting firm to develop and review our strategic narrative to dictate our priority commitments. I was a writer for the global newsletter as well, highlighting employee contributions and exciting developments within the company.

To assist the Journalism Department in their daily operations, I created and posted flyers that promoted journalism courses and scholarship opportunities and monitored the student use of department equipment and facilities.
