Manager - Modern Workplace Engineering Practice
CurrentThroughout my 6+ years with Avanade, I have grown my career from Consultant level, through Senior Consultant, to Manager level.Project work I’ve been involved with include both internal Accenture projects (such as the Intune/Autopilot portion of an effort to transform all of Accenture - 800K users - to full cloud-only Microsoft Azure/M365) and client projects - mostly transformation from On-premise Active Directory and Microsoft Application Servers (Exchange, Skype/Teams, Sharepoint, OneDrive) to the Microsoft cloud. He worked in both corporate environments and military/government environments (Government Cloud, GCC High). I’ve worked on straight single tenant migrations and mergers/acquisitions in which multiple organizations are being migrated/merged into a single tenant.I am always eager to take on roles that help me learn and grow beyond the comfort zone of my long-time specialization in messaging/collaboration services. I’ve done a lot of study in security tools and services and successfully taken on more security-specific roles such as the design and implementation of Conditional Access policies for a large military/industrial client in a GCC High tenant environment.Ongoing: I regularly receive “go team” (kudos) awards for my work on a wide variety of client projects, my role as a Career Advisor to multiple advisees, my ability to deliver quality solutions and build great client relationships, my engagement in various Employee Resource Groups, keeping up with compliance, training, going above and beyond, brand ambassador, etc. I especially enjoy my work as an Advisor/Mentor - helping others to grow and succeed in their careers is every bit as important and satisfying (if not more so) as nurturing my own growth. Current/Near Future focus: Solutioning pre-sales - currently in process of obtaining an internal Solution Architect certification; scheduling certification exams for Microsoft Azure AI and Teams/Teams Voice Administration.
