I am tremendously proud to be the Manager Director of the Cambridge Centre for Evaluation and Monitoring; it brings together my experience of working with educators and my commitment to impactful research to help all learners achieve great things. I work with an amazing team of people who all share the same vision: to transform learning. At Cambridge CEM, our core strength is the development of computer-adaptive psychometric assessment of the skills and capabilities that every learner needs to be successful in their educational lives. These impressive assessments produce instant reports for teachers and senior leaders that give them the insight they need when they most need it. A powerful tool for educators which, when combined with the Cambridge curriculum, qualifications and school improvement services, is transformational. I have worked in education for nearly 30 years, always working with teachers, researchers and other educational professionals. Before taking the role as MD, my role was in business development where I enjoyed building strong and productive relationships with our stakeholders. I have a first degree in psychology and research methods and a post-graduate degree in assessment development. I continue to have an ongoing research interest in how insight provided by educational assessment can help improve student outcomes. I spend my spare time enjoying the amazing countryside I have access to in the North East of England. I can get to Swaledale, Northumberland and the Lake District within an hour. So most weekends I will be in my campervan with my husband and dogs. I enjoy singing and am a member of Durham Choral Society, performing twice a year in the glorious Durham Cathedral.
