As an extension of the social work and guidance counseling offices, the Family Resource Center exists to prevent non-academic barriers to learning. I specialize in elementary school case work and serve our student population through the provision of financial assistance, agency referrals, and community partnerships in order to meet their basic needs.

In this position, I serve primarily as an additional teacher of English as a Second Language (ESL) at the elementary school level. In addition to my responsibilities as a support area teacher, I work in the Family Resource Center to meet the needs of our students and their families. The primary goal of my position is to help bridge the gap between students and success--whether that success is academic, social, or financial in nature.

My central focus as Social Media Coordinator was to develop and maintain a presence on various social networking sites, promoting the program and reaching out to potential participants and donors. The Jewish Studies minor is a little known program to most university students, and I collaborated with other on-campus organizations to host events targeting diverse populations in order to increase awareness of the minor. In addition to maintaining our social media accounts and program website, I also published a monthly article in Lexington's local Jewish community newsletter and compiled a semi-annual program newsletter for our students, alumni, and donors.

My time as a barista/ donut engineer was spent directly engaging with customers and other staff to create a welcoming, inclusive store culture. Responsibilities included cash handling, provision of exceptional customer service, and maintenance of store appearance and supplies.

In conjunction with the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager, I developed comprehensive plans for the provision of excellent customer service, engaging public events, and everyday administrative functions. During scheduled shifts, I was responsible for cash handling, employee supervision, and inventory management.
