Kate has over 17 years professional experience in town planning, economics, and social policy. She has gained degrees in all three fields. Kate has worked in government and the private sector roles on a range of significant projects with a constant focus on delivering economic and equity outcomes through the statutory planning system.Since commencing her own business in 2021, and her previous role at Mecone she worked with a significant number of private clients to progress significant and complex development applications and planning proposals within Greater Sydney and regional NSW across a range of uses including residential, commercial, industrial, mixed use, seniors and social housing. During this time she also worked closely with different government agencies including the Department of Planning and Environment (DPE) and various Councils to progress strategic planning projects including precinct plans for DPE and independent DA and DCP preparation for Councils.At her early roles in the City of Sydney, in both the Office of the Lord Mayor and the Planning Department, Kate assessed major development applications, while also liaising with Council and Councillors for progression of key strategic planning projects including the comprehensive LEP review and the Green Square Town Centre controls. She also undertook assessment of a number of complex development applications, and reviewing Council’s standard conditions.
