I have a considerable amount of experience in the UK publishing industry across adult and children's books in print and digital formats; and also in marketing, publicity and PR. I have served as Vice-Chair of the PA's Children's committee, and have also served on the World Book Day committee, and the Indie Alliance group. I am also active in the IPG and involved in mentoring small publishers.My previous job was Sales Director at Oneworld Publications where I worked for two and a half years where amongst my general role I managed the global sales and distribution of two Booker Prize winning titles.In June 2017 I left to set up and run Muswell Press jointly with my sister Sarah Bea, with our first list of brilliant fiction being published in Spring 2018. I also run a sales and marketing consultancy business and can be contacted at katiebeal25@gmail.com I have worked for Bloomsbury Publishing joining before the first book was published, then after 10 years I moved to Ottakar's HO where predominantly my role was to set up the PR, Publicity and Events departments, but also being part of the central buying team. I then moved to Faber and Faber where I spent 10 happy years in a variety of roles within the sales department, from UK Sales Manager to Key Account Manager and Arts List Ambassador through to Head of Children's Books and Special sales. Then on to Walker Books where I was Head of UK Trade Sales. I left there in June 2013 to pursue other interests, which have included travelling, teaching art to children, completing a diploma in Interior Design at Chelsea Art School, and taking courses at City Lit in Web design and internet marketing
