I am expected to thoroughly investigate the case and progress case to court should there be adequate evidence to do so. I have ample experience in handling and investigating both PIP1 and PIP2 level offences and have police powers to interview under police caution.I currently work within the Safeguarding Investigation Unit which predominantly investigates Domestic incidents however I also have experience in investigating vulnerable adult incidents and incidents involving children during my service. This role is very diverse, and exceptionally fast pace. I am responsible for my own workload which can average around 30 cases at any one time. I am expected to implement safeguarding measures, whilst investigating cases to prove or disapprove the offences in question. I am required to build a case to present to the CPS, and if the subject is charged, to then build and create a professional case file to present to a court. Show less

This role was diverse, ranging from answering emergency 999 and non urgent 101 calls, to handling customer online and email enquiries

As a small team of 4 we were asked to develop a system to implement, whereby all 999 and 101 calls were quality controlled, assessed and feedback was provided to the call takers. Calls were graded into a red amber and green category based on the call taker hitting mandatory requirements on each call and meeting the customers needs. They were graded on accurately identifying and assessing risk and overall satisfactory call management.
