My key focus in this role was implementing and embedding the Healthroster software solution within NHS and private healthcare organisations. Key knowledge of HR policies and procedures was paramount, such as WTD compliance, annual leave and sickness policies as well as joiner and leaver process flows. Critical analysis of business processes was crucial, as often organisations were required to adapt or amend their existing processes to better suit the software solution. This was a very client-facing role and was heavily training and workshop based. My target audience could range between clinicians right the way through to senior executives and anyone in between. As a professed “people person”, to be leading these workshops and training was a hugely important job element to me, as I found the teaching and relationship-building incredibly rewarding. Some basic payroll knowledge was required, however my focus was getting the rostering solution to work for the client in accordance to their working standards and practice.
  • Aintree University Hospital Nhs Foundation Trust
    Workforce And Payroll Systems Lead
Aintree University Hospital Nhs Foundation Trust Mar 2016 - Aug 2017
In this role I was required to undertake a wide range of duties, including; maintaining employee contract and posting information, providing end user training, providing assistance to the Temporary Staffing Office, resolving payroll queries and user access difficulties. I assisted in ensuring that the ESR/Allocate HealthRoster product suite were maintained in accordance with financial and governance standards i.e. correctly mapped cost centres, establishment information, Working Time Directive compliance etc. I was involved in testing and implementing new application versions and maintenance releases, with assurance of product integrity e.g. the system delivered in accordance to the Lord Carter Report. A key part of my role was promoting and developing user awareness to the importance of user accuracy and adherence to policy. The core way in which I did this was through establishing bi-weekly divisional roster review panels consisting of a range of key stakeholders such as Divisional Directors, Matrons, Finance and HR Business Partners. In these meetings we would monitor user logs and produce data quality reports to ensure that departments were rostering effectively and safely using the Trust-agreed procedures. In addition to Nurse rostering, I developed skills in Budgeted Establishment Management, Allocate and Software Europe E-Expenses systems (mapping and problem-solving), ESR Organisation/Position Management, basic ESR Employee Self-Service knowledge as well as a foundation knowledge of Medics Rostering, Time Clocks, and Web Timesheets.
  • Warrington And Halton Hospitals Nhs Foundation Trust
    Systems Manager
Warrington And Halton Hospitals Nhs Foundation Trust May 2015 - Mar 2016
I was required to communicate with staff and managers at all levels, instructing them on the functionality of the e-rostering system; engaging with the staff and promoting the benefits that the system has to offer. I was responsible for providing reports to senior management and presenting system usage analysis to the project board i.e. Project Managers, Finance and Deputy Directors of the Trust. I thoroughly enjoyed providing training to Ward Managers and Roster Creators in an informal, friendly environment and have a genuine passion for teaching and facilitating their IT development. I undertook data entry and manual management of the system by keeping information up to date and chasing data discrepancies. I liaised closely with finance to ensure their system (ESR) and our system (HealthRoster) were accurately mapped to one another and that the maintenance of our systems adhered to Trust policies.
  • Lowri Beck Services Limited
    Operations Analyst
Lowri Beck Services Limited Nov 2014 - Apr 2015
    Wigan, United Kingdom
This was a full time position validating and processing data received from Agents within the Energy Industry. It involved diagnosing, analysing and resolving data issues and checking, sending, receiving and loading files via the Data Transfer Network. I worked within a small team managing supplier queries via phone and email, creating performance reports and ensuring that the data analysis met both the contractual and industry given deadlines.
  • Lowri Beck Services Limited
    Contract Performance Analyst
Lowri Beck Services Limited Aug 2013 - Nov 2014
    Wigan, United Kingdom
This was a full time position analysing and monitoring company targets and read performances for energy suppliers such as NPower and Co-Operative Energy. I loved to utilise my excellent people skills to liaise with Field Staff, Suppliers and Customers in order to co-ordinate smooth and productive mini projects to help increase read performance. I gained experience in developing contract launches and documenting business processes, which I found to be very stimulating as an ex-English Language student! I was responsible for weekly performance reporting using Microsoft Excel spreadsheets, managing day-to-day emails at both supplier and customer level and relied upon to raise awareness of potential issues to senior management. This was an office-based role but I established wonderful working relationships with my peers - both inside and outside of work - and I would always offer to assist anyone who required a helping hand.
  • Premier Inn
    Receptionist
    Premier Inn Nov 2011 - Aug 2013
    United Kingdom
This was a Front of House role providing quality customer care and ensuring the comfort and enjoyment of all in house guests. I was responsible for facilitating and assisting the customer journey from beginning to end with a helping hand and a friendly smile. I am confident in maintaining and enforcing brand standards and this was vital when working within the Whitbread Family. I am not afraid to go above and beyond the expectations that other set for me as I take great pride in my work and want to excel in everything that I do. I am experienced in adapting to, and using, tailored computer systems (BART), using Microsoft Excel for banking purposes, providing frequent and accurate self-audits to management, whilst managing day-to-day emails and phone inquiries. I was also relied upon to train new members of staff; teaching them the business processes and brand standards that the company expected from us - this was a particular highlight of the role for me.
