I joined the leadership team at 23andMe as the first head of privacy and data protection. My responsibilities included developing and leading 23andMe's: - comprehensive privacy and big data governance program, - global data protection compliance including the GDPR, - privacy communications strategy, and - standards and strategy for genetic, phenotypic, and health data use.
