The Kindness Audit:The Foundation’s Kindness Audit is an independent quantitative assurance tool and a national initiative, providing considered assessment and validation of all nursing and care practices. Identifying if a caring environment feels safe, friendly and calm; where people cared for feel protected and supported; and staff responsible for caring have a say in what good care looks like.The Kindness Audit basically holds a mirror up, encourages a good look at what is staring back and asks – are you happy with it:a. Are our services truly good enough?b. Do we truly listen to our service users and their families?c. Are we all communicating and working together in unison?d. Are people not routines put at the front of nursing and care?e. Do we do it every day?f. What more can we do together to improve? The Audit will evidence any vacuum in understanding how care will be improved and provide Best Practice Solutions to addresses the challenges the NHs and Social Care faces when coping with unprecedented demands.The Foundation’s whole ethos is compliant with all the regulations and Guidance specified in the Health and Social Care Act 2012, Compassion for Care, and the NHS Mandate 2014/5. Incorporating all the practical delivery of care recommendations from the Care Quality Commission, the Francis Report and the Keogh, Berwick and Winterbourne Reports, and, as such, improving on the recommendations and ideally placed to translate these theories into practice and contribute to improving care.
