Currently working as a Sports Counseling Intern and pursuing my Master’s at Boston College, I am passionate about leveraging my knowledge in mental health counseling to support athletes and young adults with their overall wellness. My counseling style aligns with a whole-person approach, recognizing the essential connection between mind and body in overall wellness. While I enjoy using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), I believe in integrating a mixture of theories to best support each client. Central to my practice is the therapeutic connection and alliance within the therapy office, which I consider the primary tool and vehicle for wellness and progress.I am pursuing a Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from Boston College, specializing in Student-Athlete Development and Child and Family Mental Health. My academic journey, scheduled to culminate in May 2025, is deeply rooted in my interest in mental health and wellness for youth, adolescents, and emerging adults. This focus prepares me to address the unique challenges young people and their families face. Before embarking on my graduate studies, I earned my B.A. in Human Development and Family Studies, with a minor in Education, from UNC Chapel Hill. This foundational education has been integral in shaping my approach to mental health and wellness, allowing me to understand the complexities of human development across the lifespan.I am driven by a commitment to making a positive impact, whether through counseling, coaching, or community engagement. Always eager to learn and grow, I’m excited about the opportunities ahead to continue developing as a professional and contributing to the mental health and sports fields.
