As His Majesty's Inspector (HMI) for Ofsted, I am dedicated to driving educational improvement and ensuring that every young person, regardless of their background, has access to quality education and the opportunities they deserve. My work is motivated by a commitment to improving life chances, with a particular focus on those who are disadvantaged. Through a relentless focus on equity and excellence, I aim to help create educational environments where all pupils can thrive.I bring extensive expertise in curriculum design, research-led pedagogies, and education policy and practice. My subject specialisms cover English (KS1–KS5), geography, and art and design. Over the years, I have regularly led inspections across a diverse range of educational settings, including secondary, primary, special schools, and alternative provisions (including PRUs).In addition to inspections of maintained and academy school inspections, I have significant experience leading standard and additional inspections of independent schools, including pre-registrations and emergency inspections. My work within the North West’s Quality Assurance (QA) team involves both on-site and remote quality assurance, ensuring that inspections are consistent, fair, and impactful.With a deep-rooted passion for education, I am committed to raising standards and creating equal opportunities for all young people, helping them to achieve their full potential.
