I have been a trustee of West Berkshire Advocacy Service which has provided specialist advocacy support and a drop-in service

Working with Oxfordshire Employment we set up Supported Internships in Abingdon and Witney College, Activate Learning at City of Oxford and Banbury and Bicester Colleges and at The Henley College.I co-ordinated the SEND Oxfordshire Post-16 Provider Network which brings together parent representatives, school 6th form, further education, independent providers, SENDIASS, SENSS, etc.

Further education and skills inspection.

A combined my role of curriculum manager at Newbury and Associate of Action for Inclusion.I built capacity for young people with profound and complex disabilities in further education and was one of two facilitators responsible for the monitoring of provision for people with disabilities in further education in the Thames Valley. We tested an early version of the Education, Health and Care Plan and an associated Resource Allocation System.

Responsible for the day to day management of courses for students with a wide range of disability, including those people with a diagnosed mental health related illness and complex behaviour communication. Prior to leaving in 2009, I also held a Teaching and Learning Manager role in addition to my curriculum manager and Action for Inclusion position. Before becoming curriculum manager I worked as a team leader for Newbury College in a supported work environment for people with a learning disability called 'Link Up'. The project was run in partnership with West Berkshire Council and West Berkshire Mencap at New Greenham Business Park.
