For the past 10 years, I have owned a residential appraising company. However, my passion is helping others and I am anxious to return to the non-profit sector. I successfully established my appraising business by prioritizing excellent customer service and attention to detail. Appraising requires the effective use of written and verbal communication, the ability to research and analyze data, and the means to meet deadlines and manage several tasks at once. As owner of the business, it is also very important that I maintain accurate records and have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office.My prior professional experience includes working in the non-profit sector. I was a Child Care and Program Director at the YMCA for three years before taking time off to raise my family. As a YMCA professional, I managed budgets, worked closely with volunteers, developed programs and participated in fundraising. I am looking for a position where I can merge my business knowledge and non-profit experience with my desire to help children and families in our community.
