Part-time teacher supporting each main classroom teacher from the math department in a variety of ways: leading small groups of students, pulling students out individually for remediation, enrichment, or special interests, or acting as another mind in the classroom to answer questions and support the lesson of the day. Working with students at all levels and abilities, 5th grade to 8th grade.

Created a microfluidic platform for the culture of Hep-G2 cells, the establishment of diffusion nutrition and drug gradients, and the testing of toxic effects of type-2 diabetes drugs on the liver. Used HPLC and LCMS to mine for sensitive indicators of cell stress.

Helped with the development of a lab on a chip (LOC) used to extract and identify airborne DNA in situ. Constructed polymer features within glass chips, developed protocols for concentrating, tagging, and stretching DNA for identification within the chip.

Taught three sections of college-prep chemistry and two sections of college-prep physics to sophomores through seniors. Prepared all course materials except for two department-wide exams. Graded all assessments. Ran weekly labs. Managed classrooms (25-28 students per class). Inspired interest in the sciences and the natural world in my students and helped them develop critical thinking, logic, and reasoning skills.

Taught two sections of honors physics, class size 17 and 19. Led a rigorous curriculum to challenge gifted and driven students of the sciences, preparing and grading all assessments except for two department-wide exams. Taught two sections of instructional swimming (swimming for non-swimmers). All students in both sections successfully learned how to swim. Preformed residential duties in a dormitory.
